One passion I have is Color Guard. Now you may have a certain image in your mind of what it is that I do, but let me try to explain a little more. Color Guard is dance, spinning flags, rifles, and sabres to music or with a marching band to create a show or production! I love Color Guard and have been a part of the large community for 10 years! Not only do I enjoy being able to perform, but I enjoy educating high school students about the activity. Indiana has a very competitive high school color guard association which allows for awesome instructors to be apart of some great high schools. Not only do we perform at the state level, but at an national and even an international level at some times within the Winter Guard International. Right now we are in the audition stages. Getting the kids ready for the marching band season and the summer packed full of rehearsals! Today will be day 3 of auditions and I am excited to see the kids performing all we have taught them over the past two days. I will surely post more about the awesome color guard I teach as they continue their journey over the season!
